Due to the state-wide veterinary shortage and increasing number of COVID cases, Forest Hill Vets has decided to go back to our stricter policies that have been in place, effective immediately.
Just like in the human healthcare sector, there is a shortage of veterinary staff and unfortunately many clinics have had to close for the meantime, with an unknown reopening date.
Along with the below policies re-introduced, all elective appointments and surgeries will be put on hold and have to be rescheduled for a later date.
See policies below:
Front door locked
Consults return to being contactless. Clients are unable to enter the building unless in exceptional circumstances.
Please call us when you arrive in the car park for your appointment. If the consulting vet is free, they will speak to you on the phone. If they’re unavailable, they will call you back shortly.
Our staff will come and collect your pet from you. The veterinarian will perform the examination in clinic. They will then phone with any treatment or results.
Payments will be done over the phone or in the car park. Please avoid cash payments.
Nurse consults are on hold.
If your pet requires medication, we ask that you order it ahead of time. One of our nurses will bring it out to you in the car park.
We ask that all our clients be understanding during this time, and be mindful and respectful to our staff. The veterinary industry is struggling at the moment, and all clinics are doing what we can to be able to treat as many unwell patients as possible.
